Bench for Two

This bench for two is the result of experimentation with thin panels of wood: a play between flexibility and strength.

Pragmatic approach: To build a bench that can hold two people without using material thicker than three eighths of an inch [3/8”=1cm].
Strength is achieved through aggregation while plasticity bows to form. A tension in balance to confer ease and lightness.
There are four component shapes used for the bench: one for the seat, two for the legs, and one for the spacers.
Seven treaded rods hold all 111 pieces together.
